Ramapo 75, William Paterson 63

WAYNE, NJ — Sophomore center Rashawn Wilson recorded 19 points and 13 rebounds and senior guard Amin Wright also dropped in 19 as Ramapo defeated William Paterson, 75-63, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference contest Tuesday.

Wright also had eight rebounds and six steals for the Roadrunners (9-2, 5-1 NJAC), who won their straight after forcing 29 turnovers by the Pioneers (9-4, 3-4 NJAC). Junior forward Todd Lowber added 16 for Ramapo.

Senior guard Robert Sullivan paced William Paterson with 16 points, while junior guard Mario Rivero added 11 and six rebounds.

Ramapo led 30-29 at halftime and pulled away early in the second half via a 14-5 run. Wilson and junior guard Quameir Harding each dropped in six points during the decisive spurt, giving the Roadrunners a 49-38 lead with 13:44 remaining. The Pioneers never got closer than seven points the rest of the way.

Harding finished with 10 points and six rebounds for Ramapo.

William Paterson returns to action Thursday, Jan. 13, when it hosts SUNY Purchase in a non-conference game at 7 p.m. Ramapo takes on Rowan at home Saturday, Jan. 15, at 3 p.m.
