Roger Williams 57, Nichols 49

BRISTOL, RI — The Roger Williams men’s basketball team had nine players in the scoring column as they knocked off Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Nichols College 57-49. The Hawks improve to 3-0 in conference play with the win.

Brandon Parrish (Lincoln, RI) led the Hawks with 13 points and six rebounds, while Ben Camobreco (Duxbury, MA) and Dan Gumb (Patterson, NY) added 10 apiece in the win. Gumb also contributed five rebounds. The Hawks, who shot just 33.3% from the field in the game, knocked down 8-of-9 free throws in the second half to secure the win.

Casey Butler (East Longmeadow, MA), who entered the game second in the CCC in scoring with a 19ppg average, shot just 5-of-21 from the field and scored 13 points for the Bison. For the game, Nichols shot a paltry 29.8% from the floor in the loss.
