Thomas More 95, Philadelphia Bible 81

IRVING, TX — Thomas More raced out to a 17-0 lead Saturday in snapping its six-game losing streak, beating Philadelphia Biblical University, 95-81, at The University of Dallas round robin.
The Saints used its transition offense, highlighted by four dunks - two from sophomore E.J. Haynes (Cincinnati, OH/Walnut Hills), to open up the game.
With three minutes left in the game, Thomas More led by 25, but the Crimson Eagles finished the game of an 11-1 run.
Senior Ben Brown (Florence/Boone County) scored a career-high 16 points and junior R.K. Thurman (Portsmouth, OH/Portsmouth) added 16 points. Junior Andrae Woodard (Allensville/Todd County Central) scored 12, while sophomore Garry Horton (Louisville/Pleasant Ridge Park) chipped in with 11.
Senior Chad Wachs (Park Hills/Covington Catholic) secured a team-high six boards.
Thomas More (4-8) will be back in action Sunday, January 9, when they face the University of Dallas.
