Jackson scored a career-high 18 points, while Booth scored 14 points as the Monarchs had five players reach double-figures. The game was tied 37-37 at halftime as Wisconsin Lutheran’s Brian Hagel drained six 3-point baskets. However, Methodist stepped up the defensive pressure in the second half, neutralizing Hagel and Wisconsin Lutheran.
Eugene Grant scored 12 points for the Monarchs (5-4), followed by Seth Thomas with 11 points and Robert Lee scored 10 points. Sam Porter added nine points for Methodist. Hagel paced Wisconsin Lutheran (4-8) with 25 points.
Methodist plays host Catholic on Sunday at 4 p.m. in the championship game of the Catholic Pepsi Classic.
