PINEVILLE, La. — Louisiana College used torrid three-point shooting and strong defense to down Schreiner University in American Southwest Conference action Saturday evening, 95-84. LC (5-6, 4-5) shot 60 percent from three-point range for the game and forced Schreiner to turn the basketball over 21 times. All five of LC's starters were in double-figure scoring, but Casey Meador led the way with a game hgh 26 points. Meador was six of nine from three-point range and eight of eight from the free-throw line. LC's Kase Gonzales was also part of the three-pointer assault as he knocked down four of six from beyond the arc and ended the game with 18 points. Schreiner (1-10, 1-8) was led by Jarel Hall's 18 points. This was the second game of a five game homestand for LC. They will be back in action on Monday night against ASC East leader Mississippi College. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
