Lehman 70, Baruch 67

Bronx, NY — A jump shot by senior guard Ralph Mojica was the difference as Lehman College knocked off Baruch College 70-67 in CUNY conference play.

Lehman (8-5, 3-1 CUNY) held a seventeen point lead with 2:20 remaining in the first half, before a furious Baruch 10-1 run to cut the Lightning's lead to 38-30 at the half.

The second half was very similiar to the first, as Lehman opened up a 14-point lead to begin the half, before Baruch stormed back to cut the lead to four.

In the wanning seconds of the game, Baruch (9-4, 3-1 CUNY) had an opportunity to tie, but a long rang three-point attempt from Chris Alesi fell short, and Lehman held on for the win.

For Lehman, junior guard Willy Vargas finished with 13 points, while Kevan Proctor, and Sekani Francis each added 10 points. For Baruch, John Burzo led the Bearcats with 15 points, and Louis Karis chipped in with 14 points.
