With its win, B-W, 9-4 overall and 5-1 in the OAC, moves into first place. With its loss, Wilmington, the defending Division III national champion, fell to 9-3 overall and 4-1 in the OAC. B-W's win also evened the overall series with the Quakers at 8-8.
In the first half, B-W never trailed, stretching its lead out to as many as 16 points with 2:54 remaining when freshman forward Alyson Cotter hit a three-pointer to put the Yellow Jackets up 34-18. At the half, B-W lead 37-23.
In the second half, the Yellow Jackets extended its lead to 32 points, its biggest of the afternoon, after a 22-5 run spanning 5:36 when sophomore forward Shelly Altizer hit a jumper with 2:24 remaining in the contest.
In addition to Shrider for B-W, sophomore forward Jessica Latimer scored 10 points and three others chipped in with nine points a piece. Sophomore forward Michelle White added eight points and a game-high nine rebounds.
Wilmington was led by freshman guard Katie Streck with a game-high 12 points.
B-W next plays on Wednesday, January 12 when it travels to University Heights, Ohio to play OAC and Cleveland cross-town rival John Carroll University at the Tony DeCarlo Center at 7:30 p.m.
