David Knowles (Plano, Texas) had a team-high 18 points, four assists, and four steals to lead the Pomona-Pitzer College Sagehens to a 61-48 win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in men’s basketball action this evening at Blake Arena. Trinity, ranked No. 21 in the nation, drops to 8-3, while the Sagehens improve to 6-6 with their first win in four games.
The Bantams shot just 33.9 percent from the field, failing to recover from a 31-21 deficit at the half. Junior forward
Tyler Rhoten (Ridgewood, N.J.) paced Trinity with 23 points and nine rebounds, while senior center
Craig Coupe (Niskayuna, N.Y.) added nine points, seven boards, and four blocked shots.
