PINEVILLE, La. — Texas Lutheran, the co-leader in the American Southwest Conference Western Division, showed just why they were the preseason favorite to win the ASC West as they beat Louisiana College in Pineville Thursday night, 72-50. The loss was just LC's second home loss in two seasons. LC managed to shoot only 36.8 percent from the field, while TLU (8-3, 7-1) shot 46.6 percent. The biggest difference in the game was rebounding. LC (4-6, 3-5) managed only 17 rebounds, while TLU grabbed 42 rebounds. Tommy Stolhandske, the ASC West Preseason Player of the Year, led TLU with 15 points. LC's leading scorer was senior T.J. Drew, who had 12 points. This was the first game of a five game homestand for LC. The Wildcats will host Schreiner University on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
