"This was an important win for us with winning on the road in the Midwest Conference being so difficult," Head Coach Andy Hamilton said. "Anna Veit got on track and based on us causing 35 turnovers and making 22 steals I would have to say that it was apparent our team was giving a solid effort."
Senior Anna Veit poured in 18 points on 6 of 13 shooting, including 4 of 10 from behind the three-point line. First-year Hannah Wolf scored a team-high 19 points on 7 of 14 shooting (5 of 8 three-pointers), and also had three assists and three steals. Sophomore Emily Kolbe had an all-around impressive game as she went 5 of 5 from the field and 2 of 2 at the free-throw line as she scored 12 points to go with her four steals.
Grinnell shot 43.3 percent (29 of 67) for the game and made 9 of 18 three-point tries in the second half.
