Trinity (Texas) 89, University of Dallas 40

Irving, Tx. — The Trinity men's basketball team, which recently made its way back into the top 25 national rankings, earned a decisive 89-40 win over the University of Dallas on Wednesday night.

Trinity (8-4) led 41-15 at the half, and held the Crusaders to just 33.3% shooting in the game - including 5-23 shooting in the opening period. The Tigers shot 48.5% for the game, including 15-23 (65.2%) from three-point range.

The Tigers were led by sophomore forward Casey Hill, who poured in a game-high 13 points in 22 minutes off the bench. Hill reached his career-high with 4-6 shooting (4-4 three-pointers).

Jason Morris and Sean Devins added 10 points each, as both players hit 4-9 from the field. Morris added three assists and three steals, while Devins had six rebounds and two blocks.

Chris Conlan had 11 points and four rebounds to lead the Crusaders.

The Tigers will stay on the road for a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference weekend against Hendrix and Rhodes.
