Trinity (Conn.) 74, Occidental 60LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Junior forward Tyler Rhoten (Ridgewood, N.J.) scored 25 points to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 74-60 win over the Occidental College Tigers in men's basketball action thius evening. Trinity, ranked No. 21 in the nation, improves to 8-2 while the Tigers drop to 7-4.
Trinity shot 53.4 percent from the field, including 12 field goals in 22 tries for Rhoten. Bantam senior center Craig Coupe (Niskayuna, N.Y.) totaled 14 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, while senior co-captain guard John Halas (White Plains, N.Y.) added 13 points, and sophomore forward Robert Taylor (Dorchester Center, Mass.) contributed 11 points.
