Shenandoah (8-2) advances to the Roanoke College Jimmy V Classic Tournament championship game; the Hornets will face either host Roanoke or Hobart (N.Y.) in Tuesday's title contest.
Sophomore Onyie Onunaku (Bristow, Va./Stonewall Jackson) led SU in the easy win with 11 points and a game high 17 rebounds. For Onunaku, it was his fifth double-double of the season.
Coach Rob Harris' club had three other players score in double figures - seniors Chris Rhone (Washington, D.C./Northwestern) and Kenny Purnell (Baltimore, Md./Lake Clifton) and junior Jared Hale (Centreville, Va./Lynchburg).
Purnell had a team high 19 points to go along with five assists, Rhone added 15 points and five assists and Hale had five three-pointers to help him score a career high 18.
Depending on the outcome of the Roanoke/Hobart game, the Hornets will play at either 5:00 or 7:00 tomorrow.
