Illinois Wesleyan 74, Millikin 51BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The Illinois Wesleyan men’s basketball team closed out its regular season with a 74-51 win over Millikin at the Shirk Center on Sat., Feb. 26. The Titans are 21-4 overall and were 12-2 in winning their third straight College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championship. IWU will make its third straight appearance in the NCAA Division III tournament and the pairings will be announced on Sunday night after 9:30. Keelan Amelianovich led the Titans with 18 (with nine free throws) and Zach Freeman scored 16 with nine boards. Cory Jones grabbed 11 rebounds and Chris Jones had 11 points. The game had 47 fouls and 35 turnovers, including 20 from Millikin (12-13, 4-10 CCIW). IWU held onto a 31-28 halftime advantage and managed only two field goals in the final 11:50 of the first half.
