UWW lead throughout the 1st half of the game with its largest lead of 10 points with 10:35 ... Whitewater hit 10 of their first 14 shot to lead 27-18 ... UWW largest lead of the game was in the 2nd half which was 12 points ... Platteville pulled within 2 points in the 2nd half, and that as close as it got for Platteville

UW-Whitewater faced UW-Platteville twice earlier this season ... In the first meeting Platteville dominated the game shooting 56% from the field while Whitewater shot 37% from the field, winning with a final score of 90-70 ... The 20 point lost was the largest to an opponent on the season ... In the second meeting Platteville grab the lead early and never looked back ... Platteville lead by 13 points, 37-24 at halftime ... It was a bit too much for Whitewater to over come ... UWW advanced to the WIAC Finals in 2002 and 2003 to face UW-Oshkosh each time, and lost each time to Oshkosh ... Platteville tied for the conference title in 2005 with UW-Stevens Point ... Last year 2004 WIAC Finals Platteville faced UW-Stevens Point and lost 68-50


UW-Whitewater's Next Game:
The #4 seed Warhawks will be playing at #2 Stevens Point Saturday, February 26 in the WIAC Conference Tournament Finals. Whitewater was split with Stevens Point during the season. The Warhawks give the Pointers it's first loss of the season January 4, 71-63, and in the second match up the Pointers roll passed the Warhawks 75-64.
