UW-Whitewater faced UW-Platteville twice earlier this season ... In the first meeting Platteville dominated the game shooting 56% from the field while Whitewater shot 37% from the field, winning with a final score of 90-70 ... The 20 point lost was the largest to an opponent on the season ... In the second meeting Platteville grab the lead early and never looked back ... Platteville lead by 13 points, 37-24 at halftime ... It was a bit too much for Whitewater to over come ... UWW advanced to the WIAC Finals in 2002 and 2003 to face UW-Oshkosh each time, and lost each time to Oshkosh ... UW-Whitewater's Next Game:
The #4 seed Warhawks will be playing at #2 Stevens Point Saturday, February 26 in the WIAC Conference Tournament Finals. Whitewater was split with Stevens Point during the season. The Warhawks give the Pointers it's first loss of the season January 4, 71-63, and in the second match up the Pointers roll passed the Warhawks 75-64.
