Senior Badou Gaye led all scorers with 23 points and 16 rebounds for his 19th double-double on the season.
Josh Kendrick propelled the fourth-seeded Cougars (11-16) with 20 points and Tony Rezykowski added 11, as CM was good for 19-of-59 (32%) shooting and 7-of-31 from downtown on the night.
The Griffins (22-4) led 31-23 at halftime and had their biggest lead of the game at 47-33 with 14:05 in the contest. But Misericordia chipped away at the GMC lead, getting down to just seven at 61-54 with just 1:36 on the clock courtesy of two Rezykowski free-throws.
Gaye blocked three shots and sophomore Chris DelBrocco added 10 points and seven assists.
GMC shot 39% (25-of-64) and held a 47-38 rebound edge.
