Nashua – Rivier College (11-14, 7-11 GNAC) jumped out to a 9-0 lead and never looked back. At the half Rivier lead 39-34 at the half behind Jeff Carpenter’s 20 points and 9 rebounds at the half. The freshmen finished the game with 24 points and 16 rebounds.
The Raiders cruised in the second half leading buy as much as 18 before Suffolk (8-17, 6-12 GNAC) made one final run. Rivier won 76-64.
Rivier will travel on the road Tuesday in the GNAC quarterfinals.
