F&M's Brandon Smith shot 8-for-12 from the field and 10-of-12 from the free throw line en route to a game-high 28 points. Smith also led all players in rebounds by collecting 10 boards. Adam Leonard supplied the Diplomats with 16 points off the bench, while Danny Lynch and Bryan Teschke each added 10 points for the victors.
Sophomore forward Joe Breslin led Washington with 14 points and six rebounds in the loss. Junior forward Jonathan Webb and junior guard Kyle Stem each added 12 points for the Shoremen.
Franklin & Marshall shot 57% from the field on the game, while Washington shot 50%. The Diplomats held a 97-71 lead at halftime.
