The Eagles rode the hot first-half shooting of senior Natalie Swick to a nine-point, 33-24 halftime lead. Bridgewater led by as many as 20 points midway through the second half and maintained a double-digit lead until the Royals made a late run. EMU cut the margin to seven with 41 seconds left, but would get no closer as the Eagles closed out the victory.
Katy Herr continued her stellar late season play with another big performance. Herr was 5-for-5 from 3-point range and finished with 17 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Herr committed just one turnover while playing the entire 40 minutes.
Amada Renalds scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Royals. Miranda White scored 11 and Regina Sours added 10 for EMU.
Bridgewater finished the regular season with a 20-5 overall record and a 15-5 ODAC mark. The Eagles reached the 2—win mark for the eighth time in nine seasons under head coach Jean Willi.
The Royals finish the regular season at 16-9 overall and 12-8 in the ODAC.
