Potsdam Men Defeat New Paltz 76-65


Potsdam, NY – The Potsdam Bears picked up another SUNYAC win, this time
defeating New Paltz 76-65 in regulation. The Bears improve to 21-3
(12-3), while New Paltz falls to 3-11 (9-14).
The Bears took a 6 point halftime lead and never looked back, as they
never trailed in the second half. Leading the Bears in scoring was Jim
Connelly (Cayuga/Union Springs) with 20 points and 6 boards. Eldon
Harris (Albany/Albany High) recorded a double-double with 10 points and
10 boards while Michael Brooks (Utica/Mohawk Valley CC) and Junior
Clayton (Albany/Manhattan College) each recorded 10 points in the
SUNYAC contest.
Leading New Paltz was Amseshem Foluke Henderson (Jamaica/American
Studies) with 24 points. Matt Irwin (Brooklyn/St. Edmund Prep) and
Maurice Douglas (Brooklyn/Pacific) each had 11 points.
The Bears will host Oneonta for the final regular season SUNYAC
match-up of the regular season tomorrow at 4PM.
