Matt Byrnes paced Rowan with 19 points followed by Brandon King with 16 points and a team-high nine rebounds. Ryan Cochrane and Bob Weir scored 11 points apiece for the Profs.
Stockton trailed 29-27 at the half but then fought back to take a 43-38 lead with 14:52 on the clock. After a dunk by Byrnes cut the lead to three, the Ospreys went on a 16-0 run that was highlighted by a pair of three-pointers from Smith and ended with Stockton ahead 59-40 with 10:49 to play. Rowan fought back behind nine points from Byrnes to cut Stockton’s lead to four points (71-67) in the final minute, but Polk hit three free throws and Smith added two from the charity stripe to seal the seventh consecutive win for the Ospreys, 76-67.
Stockton concludes the regular season with an NJAC home game against Ramapo on Saturday, February 19 at 4 pm. Rowan will play its regular season finale at home against Rutgers-Newark on Saturday at 1 pm.
