DECATUR, Ill. — The Augustana Vikings men's basketball team took a 41-29 halftime lead over the Big Blue in Decatur thanks in part to 48.7 percent shooting from the field. The Vikings shot 45.8 for the game for a 74-59 win over the Big Blue. Augustana improves to 15-7, 7-4 while Millikin falls to 11-11, 3-8.

Four finished in double-figures for the Vikings led by Travis Hoyt's 16 points. Jay McAdams-Thornton added 14, Rick Harrigan added 13 and Joe Baumann had 10 for the visitors. McAdams-Thornton finished with 7 rebounds to lead the Vikings and Jordan Delp pulled down six. Harrigan finished with four assists and Joe Caricato, Baumann and Hoyt had two steals.

For Millikin, freshman Tyler Nohren had a solid game, scoring a team-high 12 points. HE also finished with three blocks, two steals and five rebounds in 16 minutes. Bryon Graven, Mike Gavic and Chuck Williams had nine points for Millikin. Graven had a team-high 7 rebounds. Williams Williams, who moved into No. 20 on Millikin's career scoring list (1,237) dished off a team-highs of three assists and grabbed three steals. The Big Blue shot 41.4 percent for the game.
