Trinity closes the regular season with an 18-6 record, but will host Wesleyan in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championship Quarterfinal game on Sat., Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. The Hawks finish the season at 2-23 with their ninth straight loss.
Farrell and Halas, each playing in the final regular season games of their careers, helped Trinity take control early with seven assists and 13 points, respectively, in the first half. Halas finished with six three-pointers in the game in 11 attempts and added four assists, and three steals. Bantam junior forward Tyler Rhoten (Ridgewood, N.J.) had 23 points, including 15 in the first half, and a game-high 10 boards.
Freshman forward Naeem Mahmood (Montville, N.J.) paced the Hawks with 14 points, while junior forward Nelson Pierre (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added 10 points and seven rebounds, and classmate Patrick John Swift (Houston, Texas) scored 10 points.
