Daniel Webster 74, Southern Vermont 72NASHUA, N.H. - — Exeter, N.H.’s Danny Ford rammed through a layup with 19.5 seconds left to break a 71-71 tie and a Dave Clay free throw with 2.7 seconds left clinched it as the Eagles won their third consecutive GNAC contest 74-72 over Southern Vermont. In a game which featured seven lead changes and five ties, the Eagles managed to hold on to the victory despite being outscored in the second half. Josh Howe and Windham’s Kenny Ouellette tied for scoring honors with 17 apiece for DWC with Ford adding 15 and JJ Oliver 11 for the winners. Tim Bonnett was the big man for the Mountaineers with 18 points and guard Mike Schure followed with 16. Chris Boone continued his mastery in the paint with three more blocks giving him 36 in conference play. He also had nine boards.
