The Chargers turned a 10-point lead with 9:31 to play in the first half into a 36-point halftime advantage thanks to a 28-2 run to close out the half. James Thorpe (Concord, N.H.) scored 11 straight points during the run, connecting on three straight three-pointers. Thorpe would finish with 16 points on the night, going 4-for-9 from three-point range.
Andrew St. Clair (Pittsfield, Maine) led all scorers with 24 points and 10 rebounds, shooting 11-for-15 from the floor. St. Clair collected 16 of his points in the first half, including the first six points of the game for the Chargers. Chris Condon (Reading, Mass.) added 10 points for Colby-Sawyer.
Kingsley Onyechi (Lowell, Mass.) was the only scorer in double-figures for New England College, scoring 14 points on 7-of-13 shooting.
Tuesday’s game was also Senior Night, Condon and Chris Burke (Saugus, Mass.) played their final home regular-season contest at the Coffin Field House.
Colby-Sawyer heads to Endicott on Thursday night, with the winner of that game receiving the top seed and home-court advantage in the CCC Tournament, which opens next Tuesday.
