WOJCIK SINKS CAREER HIGH IN WIN OVER PHILADELPHIA BIBLICAL, 104-70
Mahwah, NJ: Sophomore JOHN WOJCIK (Sayreville, NJ) netted a career-high 17 points in Ramapo’s 20th win of the 2004-2005 season over Philadelphia Biblical, 104-70. Ramapo improves to 20-3 overall, while PBU falls to 10-14.
The Roadrunners shot 53% (42-80) from the field over PBU’s 36% (25-69). Ramapo took the lead right from the start jumping out to a ten point lead just under eight minutes into the game. Ramapo led by as many as 18 in the first twenty minutes and spread the gap to 35 in the second. The Roadrunners wrapped up the game 34 points over the Crimson Eagles.
WOJCIK shot 6-10 from the field, 5-8 from behind the arc sinking a career-high 17 points while senior guard AMIN WRIGHT (Jersey City, NJ) recorded 18 leading the team shooting 7-8 from the field, 3-4 from the line. WRIGHT grabbed nine boards and a team-high nine steals in the victory and DERRICK HOLLEY (Jersey City, NJ) dished out a team-high eight assists. RASHAWN WILSON (Jersey City, NJ) and ANTOINE PRYOR (Elizabeth, NJ) each sunk 12 points and sophomore transfer TODD LOWBER (Riverside, NJ) posted 11.
For the Crimson Eagles, Jeremy Coleman (Trenton, NJ) led the way netting 24 points shooting 8-16 from the field while Chase Byler (Gap, PA) and Flor Colon (Philadelphia, PA) posted 12 and 11 points respectively. Byler dished out four assists and Coleman grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
The Roadrunners will host William Paterson on Wednesday, February 16th at 8:00 PM for their final regular season home match-up of the year.
