Rochester 76, Brandeis 67

ROCHESTER, NY — Seth Hauben scored 24 points while Gabe Perez chipped in 13, and Brendan McAllister added 11 as the University of Rochester defeated Brandeis, 76-67, at the Louis Alexander Palestra here today.

Rochester won its ninth straight game and 14th in the last 15. The Yellowjackets are 19-3 overall, 10-1 in the UAA.

Brandeis is 5-6 in the UAA, 12-10 overall. The Judges won at Carnegie Mellon on Friday night to snap a three-game skid.

Steve DuLuca scored 23 points for BU. Bryan Lamber added 21 and a game-high 14 rebounds. Florian Rexhepi scored 10.

Brandeis pulled as close as three twice midway through the second half. The last time came on Lambert's jump[er with 10:37 to play (52-49).

McAllister sank a three pointer, then Perez drove for a layup on a pass from Hauben and made another layup after a steal. It was 59-49 with 8:05 to go.

The Judges did get it down to seven, but had to foul and Roichester made six free throws in the last 48 seconds - four by Tim Brackney.
