The Gators had taken a 5-3 lead on a pair of free throws by Quinn O'Brien with 17:39 left in the first half before Chojnacki's lay-in tied the game and King's first 3-pointer put the Bishops ahead to stay. Chojnacki added another lay-in with 14:36 left in the first half and King drained a 3-pointer to give the Bishops a 13-5 lead with 14:05 to play in the period.
Justin Schmitt hit a pair of buckets to bring Allegheny back to within 13-9, but sophomore wing Ted Uritus hit a 3-pointer, King added a pair of free throws and junior guard Raymond Strain sank a jumper to give the Bishops a 20-9 lead.
Uritus, King and junior wing Andy Warnock hit 3-pointers during the closing minutes of the half as Ohio Wesleyan widened the lead to 34-16, but Allegheny charged back in the closing seconds of the period, getting a 3-pointer by Schmitt and a steal and lay-in by Pat Brannigan to close to within 34-21 at halftime.
Allegheny had edged to within 51-43 on Chase McKim's 3-pointer with 11:45 left in regulation time, but Ohio Wesleyan responded with a pair of free throws by freshman wing Brian Cafarella, a jumper by freshman post Dustin Rudegeair, a Warnock lay-in and Yuskewich's 3-pointer to take a 60-43 lead with 8:36 to play, and the Bishop lead remained in double figures throughout the remainder of the contest.
King led the Bishops with a career-high 26 points and 6 assists and shared the team lead with 6 rebounds. Uritus finished with 15 points and shared the team lead with 6 rebounds and Warnock added 14 points and shared the team lead with 6 rebounds.
Chase McKim led the Gators with 17 points, Bill Babe scored 15 points and Schmitt finished with 12 points and a team-high 5 assists. Babe and Matt Majzlink shared the Gator lead with 5 rebounds apiece.
