DALLAS, Pa — The College Misericordia men's basketball team lost a hard-fought game to Cabrini, 61-60, Saturday afternoon in the Anderson Center.

Corey Brown and Josh Kendrick led the Cougars with 16 points each and combined for 14 rebounds.

Andre Little added 14 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

Brown put the Cougars up 24-17, after converting two free throws, with 3:09 remaining in the half.

Cabrini came back to capture the lead 25-24 (1:02), when they connected on two consecutive three-pointers. The Cavaliers extended the margin with another three-pointer to close the half, leading 28-26.

CM fell further behind early in the second half, as the Cavaliers led 52-36 at 7:08.

The Cougars went on a 14-3 run, at 5:02 to cut the lead, 61-56.

A Kendrick FG made the game a one possession ball game at :51. Little converted on a steal 10 seconds later to bring the Cougars to within one, 61-60.

The Cougars had a chance to win in the final eight seconds, but the field goal attempt hit the rim and bounced out.

The Cougars fall to 9-14 (7-7) and will host Gwynedd-Mercy, Feb. 14 at 8:00.
