Hamilton (7-4 league, 12-9 overall) improved to 7-1 at home this season and is in third place in the league with three games left. Hobart College, which the Continentals host on Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 8 p.m., is in first place with an 8-3 record.
Chavleishvili went 8-for-11 from the field and made all six of his free throws. He scored 16 points in the first half as Hamilton built a 42-30 lead. Mike Evans '05 made all five of his three-point attempts and finished with 17 points. Tsakani Ngobeni '07 added 13 points and six rebounds. Staunton Peck '06 grabbed seven boards and handed out four assists. The Continentals shot 54.9 percent (28-51) from the field, including 52.9 percent (9-17) from three-point range, and made 81.8 percent (18-22) of their free throws.
Russ Vitallo '06 led all scorers with 26 points and Kamal Crues '05 chipped in 16 points and five rebounds for the Golden Knights (3-9, 7-16). Hamilton led 25-24 with 6:14 left in the first half, but went on a 17-2 run to go up 42-26 with 1:19 remaining. Clarkson didn't pull closer than eight points the rest of the game.
