Daniel Webster 72, Rivier 65NASHUA, N.H.- — . In a highly emotional contest the Eagles of Daniel Webster swept the season series from crosstown rival Rivier College, 72-65. Sharpshooter Adam Duplisea of Hermon, Maine was the main cog in the Eagle attack with a season- and game high 26 points on nine of 13 shooting. Duplisea was the answer for every Rivier run ending scoring runs of 11 in the first half and six and five in the second. Sophomore John McMahon and freshman John McAllen were constant thorns in the Eagle side with 19 and 17 points apiece. McAllen was deadly from three-point land with five of nine. Rivier’s Jeff Carpenter led all rebounders with 11. Freshman Josh Howe of Randolph, Vt., and senior Kenny Ouellette of Windham, N.H. also tallied in double figures with 16 and 10 points respectively. It was the second consecutive GNAC win for the Eagles and gave them a 2-0 mark over the Raiders.
