Indianola, Iowa — Coe (11-11, 7-6 IIAC) defeated Simpson (7-15, 3-10 IIAC) 80-65 Feb. 8 In Indianola. The 25-point margin was the largest by the Kohawks over the Storm since the 1950-51 season when Coe defeated Simpson 82-61. Five Kohawks scored in double figures led by Kyle Kuenstling who was 6-7 from the field on his way to 16 points. Seth Hamilton had 14 and a game high nine rebounds while Brian Brungard had 13. Nick Wilkins scored 12 while Chris Krueger had 11.

Simpson, which shot only 32.8% from the field (19-58) was led by Mitch Keller who scored 12 points and had eight rebounds. Jason Parkinson was the only other Storm player to score in double figures as he had 11.
