Wheaton (Ill.) 86, Illinois Wesleyan 74BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The Wheaton Thunder snapped Illinois Wesleyan’s 20-game home winning streak and ended the Titans’ nine-game winning streak with an 86-74 defeat of IWU on Wed., Feb. 9 at the Shirk Center. IWU, who came into the game No. 1 in the national D3hoops.com poll, fell to 16-3 overall and 7-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while No. 9-ranked Wheaton improved to 17-3, 7-2 CCIW. IWU was led by Adam Dauksas (shown) with 24 points and six assists while Keelan Amelianovich scored 23 with a game-best eight rebounds. Wheaton was paced by Kent Raymond’s 23 points.
