Baruch 94, Hunter 67

NEW YORK —
John Burzo scored 21 points to lead five players in double-figure scoring as Baruch defeated Hunter College, 94-67, in a CUNYAC game played on Wednesday night in the ARC Arena.

The game was tightly contested in the first half with Baruch (17-7, 9-3 CUNYAC) leading by three (23-20) with 8:50 left, but the Bearcats broke the game wide open the rest of the way with a 21-7 run for a 44-27 halftime lead.

Every Baruch player saw action in the win as Chris Alesi (16 points), Louie Karis (15 points), Robi Davidson (15 points), and Cheick Fadika (10 points, 12 rebounds) all helped lead the offensive charge.

Gerard Ciarleglio led Hunter (2-21, 2-10 CUNYAC) with 14 points and five assists.

Baruch will return to action this Wednesday night as they will host Lehman in the ARC Arena at 7:30 p.m.

The athletic department will honor the team seniors and legendary statistician Burt Beagle, who will work his 900th consecutive Baruch men’s basketball game dating back to 1969.
