The Chargers (17-4, 12-0 CCC) trailed Curry (11-8, 8-3 CCC) by two at the half, as Curry closed out the first period on a 9-2 run to turn a five point Charger lead into a two point advantage for the Colonels. Colby-Sawyer took command of the game during a 12-4 run with just over six to play, capped off by a blocked shot by St. Clair and a breakaway dunk at the other end.
Colby-Sawyer also got 15 points from Collin Bray, who was hobbled for much of the second half with a sprained ankle.
Raheim Lamb scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Curry, while Tim Jones added 20 points and Michael Mohrin had 12.
Colby-Sawyer continues its three-game home stand on Saturday when the Chargers host Wentworth at the David L. Coffin Field House in New London. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
