It was the first loss in the series for Wartburg since the 1999-2000 season.
The Kohawks (8-13 overall, 5-7 Iowa Conference) salted away the win with strong free throw shooting down the stretch. Coe hit seven of eight attempts in the final 46 seconds.
Wartburg (12-8 overall, 7-5 IIAC) led by as many as three midway through the first half. However, a 14-6 run by Coe in the final 6:18 gave them a 24-19 cushion at the break that they never relinquished.
Senior center Amanda Berner, compiling her 26th career double-double, led the Orange and Black in scoring (22 points) and rebounding (16) to go along with six blocked shots. Sophomore forward Natalie Tarkett added 12 points.
Coe had three individuals in double figures, led by senior guard Holly Zimmerman’s 24 points.
