Trinity (Conn.) 72, Elms 65

HARTFORD, Conn. — Junior forward Tyler Rhoten (Ridgewood, N.J.) scored 20 points to pace the Trinity College Bantams to a 72-65 victory over the visiting Elms College Blazers this evening at Oosting Gymnasium. Trinity, ranked No. 25 in the nation, improves to 17-4 with its seventh straight victory, while the Blazers drop to 13-8.

The Blazers actually took a 36-30 lead into the locker room at half time before Trinity took control in the second half. Trinity sophomore point guard Patrick Hasiuk (Enfield, Conn.) dished out a game-high 13 assists. Sophomore guard John Ancrum (Harlem, N.Y.) had 19 points and seven assists, and freshman forward Renato Lindmets (Springfield, Mass.) paced Elmsn underneath with 11 rebounds and 12 points.
