HARTFORD, Conn. — Junior forward Tyler Rhoten (Ridgewood, N.J.) scored a seson-high 36 points, making 13 out of 20 shots from the floor and all 10 of his free throws, to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 91-84 win over the visiting Williams College Ephs in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men’s basketball action this aftenoon at Oosting Gymnasium. Trinity, ranked No. 25 in the nation, improves to 16-4 overall and 6-1 in the NESCAC with its sixth straight win, while the Ephs drop to 14-8 overall and 2-5 in the league with their second loss in two days.

Trinity used a 13-4 run late in the second half to turn a 71-69 deficit into an 82-75 lead with five minutes left in the game. The third of three consecutive three-pointers by Bantam sophomore guard Kino Clarke (Brooklyn, N.Y.) gave the Bantams the lead back at 72-71, and Rhoten scored six of Trinity’s next 10 points to push the lead up to seven. Williams pulled to within four points at 85-81 on a three-pointer by senior forward Tucker Kain (Cleveland, Ohio) with just under a minute on the clock, but the Trinity scored the next six points to put the game out of reach.

Bantam sophomore guard Patrick Hasiuk (Enfield, Conn.) made eight of nine from the charity stripe, and totaled 21 points and a career-high 11 assists.
