WINCHESTER, Va. - — The Shenandoah University men's basketball team completed its first season sweep over NC Wesleyan of the Rob Harris era Saturday afternoon with a 73-63 USA South Conference victory over the Bishops.



Shenandoah (13-8, 5-3 USA South) also snapped a three-game losing streak in the process.



NC Wesleyan (8-12, 1-6) led 35-31 at the half, but saw SU take a 42-41 led by the 14:09 mark of the second.



The Bishops came back to tie it on a Jarvis Cobb free throw 18 seconds later, but Hornets senior http://www.su.edu/athletics/mb/players.cfm?rid=401"> color="#CC0000" size="1"> Chris Rhone got what proved to be the game winner on the next trip down the floor.



Freshman Jeremiah Lawrence scored Shenandoah's next six points and the hosts held at least a two-point lead the rest of the way.



An 11-4 run from 8:02 to 5:18 clinched it for the Hornets - the lead reached 16 points before the Bishops scored the final six points of the contest on a pair of three-pointers.



SU had four players in double digits, and three of those players turned in double-doubles. Ramone Spears led the visitors with 20 points and Lenny Hall had 13.

Shenandoah is off for the next seven days. They travel to Ferrum next Saturday for the first of two straight USA South Conference contests.
