Calvin Nite dominated the game in the second half with 23 points after halftime. James Peters was the only other Cowboy in double figures with 11 points. HSU was 27-for-33 in the game that featured 59 fouls and 70 free throws between the two teams. HSU dominated the boards 31-20.
Schreiner came out hot shooting 60 percent in the first half and led 18-6 five minutes into the game. Justin Evans led Schreiner with 26 points and Jonathan Young had 19.
With the win the Cowboys improved to 15-6 overall and 13-5 in ASC play. Schreiner fell to 1-18 overall and 1-16 in conference play. HSU plays at Howard Payne on Thursday.
