Elmhurst carried a 26-19 halftime lead and outscored Millikin in the second half, 43-33. For Elmhurst, three finished in double-figures led by David Gershenzon’s 22 points. Chris Martin added 14 and Nick Michael scored 11. Martin was also the Bluejays’ top rebounder with 9. Martin also had three steals.
Chuck Williams led Millikin with 15 points. The Big Blue was playing without the help of 3-point threat Jason Fisher (abdominal strain) for the second straight game, and without forward Quintin Howard (ankle). Long, who nabbed 16 rebounds in Millikin’s loss to Wheaton on Thursday, led Millikin with three boards. Adam Russell finished with three steals and Reid Jones had three assists.
