Jackson scored 11 points on 4 of 6 shooting to lead Macalester (10-11, 9-7 in the MIAC) to a 46-31 halftime margin. He finished the day 6 of 10 including 5 of 8 from beyond the arc.
Hamline (7-13, 5-10) trailed by as many as 20 points in the second half before a 25-10 run cut the Scot lead to 67-62. Sophomore forward Kyle Foster netted seven of his 13 points during the span. His traditional three-point play with 7:09 left cut the lead five.
Macalester answered on their next possession when Jackson hit one of his five three-pointers on an assist from Conboy. Conboy would add the next three points to extend the lead to 73-62. Hamline cut the lead to nine points on two occasions, but could get no closer.
Hamline was led by senior center Paul Muenchow, who totaled 17 points and seven rebounds. Foster added 13 points, and Brandon Aukes scored 11 points. Point guard Sam Wiener had nine points, six assists, and two steals.
Will Moeller was the only other Macalester player in double figures with 10 points.
