COLUMBUS, Ohio — Capital University's men's basketball team fell, 58-55 to Ohio Athletic Conference foe Muskingum College Saturday at The Capital Center.

Capital with the loss falls to 14-6 (10-4 OAC) and Muskingum improves to 12-8 overall and 7-6 in the conference with the win.

Muskingum scored the first four points of the game and then Capital went on an 11-0 run capped by sophomore David Johnson who nailed a three-pointer at the 14:47 mark in the first half. Capital then held on to lead 31-24 at the half.

The Muskies would open the second half with a 6-0 run to cut the Crusaders lead to one at 31-30. Capital then would respond with a 10-0 run lead, 40-30 when senior David Kalb hit a jumper with 15:55 left in the game. Capital couldn't hold on as they were outscored 15-5 over the final five minutes and Muskingum took the 58-55 victory.

Senior Jake Beck led the Crusader with 13 points and Johnson finished with 10 points

Muskingum's Cole Pittis led all scores with 18 points, while forward Roy Skidmore scored all 10 of his points in the second half.
