Thirteen players scored and 17 players saw action for the Vikings in a 74-57 Midwest Conference victory at Knox College.
Kelly Mulcahy led Lawrence (16-3, 10-2 MWC) with 13 points in only 15 minutes. Felice Porrata added 12 points and Carrie Van Groll had 10. No Lawrence player was on the court more than 23 minutes.
LIz Grana and Andie Allison led Knox (2-17, 0-12) with 12 points apiece.
Friday's night play in the MWC also cleared up the race for firrst in the league. Lawrence and St. Norbert stayed tied atop the league, but the co-leaders got some breathing room when both Ripon and Lake Forest lost.
The Vikings and Green Knights are now two games ahead of Ripon and 2 1/2 games in front of Lake Forest. The team that finishes first in the regular season gets to host the conference tournament, which determines the conference champion and awards an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Vikings got rolling about midway through the first half. Lawrence trailed 15-6 with 15:48 left in the opening half and then exploded.
Lawrence went on a 24-0 run to take a 30-15 lead. Porrata and Mulcahy scored six points apiece during the outburst, and Lawrence never looked back.
The Vikings led 41-24 at the half and the closest the Prairie Fire got was the final margin.
Lawrence is at Illinois College Saturday afternoon.
