Chamberlain, who needed five points to reach the milestone, ended up with 16 points and 11 rebounds qualifying as his sixth double-double effort of the season. Four of his teammates reached double-figures, highlighted by freshman transfer Pat Escabi, who drained three 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 19 points along with three steals. Sophomore Curtis Gadles, who also netted a trio of trifectas, scored 17 points, and Matt McGaughran chipped in with 14 points and four assists. Andreas Vasiliu had 10 points for the Mustangs, who earned a 45 percent field goal percentage for the game and drained all 11 free-throw attempts.
Isaac Stickney posted 17 points for the visiting Nor’Easters. Tom Button made three blocks while five of New England’s eight steals came from Mark Oliver.
