Roger Williams 66, Nichols 62

— Nichols College junior forward Casey Butler (East Longmeadow, MA) had 23 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Bison past Anna Maria College, 77-70, tonight on the campus of Nichols College in Dudley, MA.

The Bison improve to 3-4 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference and 5-10 overall. Anna Maria College drops to 0-9 in the conference and 2-14 overall. Nichols will travel to Elms College on Thursday, Jan. 27 for a 7 p.m. game.

Butler had four points in the final minute of play to seal the victory. Senior Terrance Parker came off the bench and added a much needed 13 points, five rebounds and three steals, while freshman Justin Lewis (Hopedale, Ma) added 12 points and freshman Chris Vallee had 12 points and four assists.

Parker gave the Bison a 45-30 halftime lead on a 3-pointer at the buzzer. Parker hit three 3-pointers in the first half.

Anna Maria was led by Quincy Nunnally had 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Matt O’Malley, Matt McCarthy and Billy Hazelwood each had 12 points apiece. McCarthy also had 14 rebounds.
