Indianola, Iowa — Central (5-15, 3-9 IIAC) shot 56.6 from the field, defeating Simpson (6-13, 2-8 IIAC) 78-61 Feb. 2 in Indianola. The win marked the first time since the 1993-94 season that the Dutch have swept the regular season series from the Storm. Central outscored Simpson 12-3 to begin the second half and outscored the Storm 21-8 on a run that began with three minutes to go in the second half.

Five Central players scored in double figures led by Scott Huisman who had 17 on 7-12 shooting. Keith Pedersen scored 13 on 5-5 shooting while Chris Nelson had 12. Doug Hooker and Simeon Lang each had 11. Dutch point guard Brett DeHoogh dished out 12 assists and had six points.

Simpson was led by Ryan Hittenmiller who scored a career high 26 points. The sophomore from Dyersville charted five three-pointers. Scott Ellens had 11 points while Jason Soppe grabbed a game high 12 rebounds.
