The Lions improved to 15-6 overall and 8-4 in the conference. The Scarlet Raptors dropped to 2-19 and 0-12 with their ninth consecutive loss.
TCNJ, which has won two straight games and 25 of the last 26 against Rutgers-Camden, leads the all-time series, 35-8.
The Lions raced to an early 30-3 lead on their way to a 49-26 halftime lead. They shot 50.7 percent from the floor (38-for-75), while the Raptors shot only 28.4 percent (19-for-67), including 23.3 percent from three-point range (7-for-30). TCNJ also out-rebounded Rutgers-Camden, 56-28.
Findlay, who shot 9-for-10 from the floor, was one of five players to finish in double figures for the Lions. Senior guard Mike Snyder (Cranford, NJ/Cranford) added 15 points for TCNJ, while both senior guard Kyle Burke (Maywood, NJ/Hackensack) and freshman Mark Aziz (Hackettstown, NJ/West Morris) added 14 points apiece. For Aziz, the 14 points was a career-high effort. TCNJ’s senior forward Derick Grant (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery) added 13 points as well as four assists and three steals.
The Scarlet Raptors received a game-high 20 points from senior guard Tyrone Rucker (Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken), helping him crack the 800-point plateau for his career. He has 806 points in 78 career games for a 10.3 average.
Junior forward Josh Kennedy (Westmont, NJ/Haddon Township) chipped in 10 points off the bench for the Raptors.
The Scarlet Raptors return to action Saturday when they host Montclair State University in a 3 p.m. NJAC game.
