Fontbonne 123, MacMurray 113

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. — MacMurray shot 13% from long range in the first half of their men's basketball game against Fontbonne and ended up 15-60 in the game as they lost 123-113. Davis (40) and Holland (33) were too solid inside for the Griffins and the Highlanders never had an answer for them. Cundiff scored 15 and Carreno 10 as Fontbonne picked up their 3rd win of the SLIAC. MacMurray out rebounded the Griffins 56-39 and had 5 blocked shots in the game (Kowa 4) but it just wasn't enough as poor over all shooting was their downfall. Eberhart scored 18 and grabbed 8 boards to lead the Highlanders. Cunningham had his best game of the year with 13 points, 5-6 from the field, 1-1 in treys, 2-2 from the free throw line and 7 rebounds. Kowa scored 10 points and Rasmussen hit 4 treys for his 12 points. Downham only scored 8 points but he had 5 assists 7 rebounds and 3 steals in the loss. MacMurray will face Principia in what feels like a must win situation for them if they want to stay in the play off hunt.
