Lehman 54, John Jay 43Bronx, NY — Senior guard Miguel Jorge scored 23 points, including the 1000th point of his career, as Lehman College defeated John Jay College, 54-43 in CUNY men's basketball action.
Lehman(16-5, 10-1 CUNY) also received solid play from junior guard Willy Vargas who scored 10 points while dishing out seven assists for the Lightning. John Jay (5-15, 2-7 CUNY) was led by center Hakeem Kased led the Bloodhounds with 16 points, to go along with 13 rebounds. Up next for Lehman is a non-conference match-up with SUNY Farmingdale, Saturday at the APEX Arena. The game is scheduled for a 2pm start.
